Very clearly and beautifully typeset, with a number of contemporary and historical photographs, an explanation of the regiment’s uniform, and a wee closing story at the end, this second collection of music from this well known and highly musical regiment contains many previously unpublished tunes that make reading through the book an interesting journey. The regiment can count among its erstwhile members such great composers as Willie Lawrie and John MacLellan of Dunoon and many of their tunes feature here. This is a great addition to any serious piper’s library.
